The Siskiyou Artists Association honors the lives and creative legacies of our cherished members through this In Memoriam page. Each artist remembered here contributed not only their talent and vision, but also their spirit, generosity, and dedication to our vibrant artistic community. Their work enriched our shared cultural landscape, capturing the beauty, history, and soul of Siskiyou County in deeply personal ways. Though they are no longer with us, their influence endures—in the art they created, the connections they fostered, and the inspiration they leave behind. We invite you to pause, reflect, and celebrate these remarkable individuals whose creativity continues to shape and uplift our community.
Carol Wilder
What I know about Carol Wilder.
She had a big heart and a big smile. She loved her family, friends, and her church.
Her two artist’s loves were watercolor and pastel, and she had mastery over both.
She was represented by galleries in Mt Shasta and in Ashland, Oregon.
She was active in her community and in her art community. She was an active member of the Siskiyou Artist Association. She was artist of the year in 2010. In 2013 she received recognition for painting of the year and in 2019 she was chosen as part of art of the month along with Karen Copsey and Anne McTavish.
We will cherish our memories of her, and miss sharing and seeing her beautiful artwork
