2026 SAA Member’s Show

Siskiyou Artists Association 68th Annual Art Show

Entry Form Due by Friday, July 17, 2026

You must be a member of SAA and have paid your $25 membership dues for 2026 to participate in the show.  Due to space limitations, entries are limited to two pieces per member. You may also include an alternate third piece that will be included in the show if space permits. The maximum size of all wall-hung entries must fit within a space 30” wide x 84” (7 feet) high, including frames. If a third piece is submitted, all three must fit within this rectangle.. S.A.M.’s commission is 40% of the sale price. 

There is a $10 entry fee this year. There will be a critique of each piece by artist Stan Sours. These will be transcribed and available to participating artists and guests.

The 2026 Member’s Show Critique Artist – Stan Sours

Stan lives and works in his studio in Weed CA. His primary medium is painted wood sculpture. He is also known for his paintings, drawings and prints.

Stan received his BA from CSU Chico with an emphasis on drawing and printmaking in 1979. He returned to CSU Chico and completed his Master’s degree in sculpture in 1990. During his time at Chico State he worked with such notables as Ken Morrow, Janet Turner, Michael Bishop, George Segal, Robert Graham, Italo Scanga, and Michael Lucero.

Stan received his BA from CSU Chico with an emphasis on drawing and printmaking in 1979. He returned to CSU Chico and completed his Master’s degree in sculpture in 1990. During his time at Chico State he worked with such notables as Ken Morrow, Janet Turner, Michael Bishop, George Segal, Robert Graham, Italo Scanga, and Michael Lucero.

In 1987 Stan developed and implemented a Fine Art program for a private high school in Northern CA. There he served as department chair and taught classes in introduction to art, sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking and art history. Many of his students continued their education at some of the finest Art colleges in the country including Parsons in NY, the Road Island School of Design in RI, Savana College of Art and Design in GA, and the CA College of Art in Oakland CA, to name a few. After leaving that position, he continued teaching at Shasta College in Redding CA. There he taught classes in painting and drawing

Stan has been an exhibiting artist since the early 1970s and has exhibited his work nationally. Stans Art is in several notable collections including the Janet Turner print collection CSU Chico, the Museum of Northern CA Art in Chico CA, and the Turtle Bay Museum in Redding CA.
